Sustainability — WG Clothing

Sustainability at WG Clothing

We design and manufacture with responsibility—reducing environmental impact and protecting people across our supply chain in Bangladesh. Our focus areas: responsible materials, water stewardship, clean energy, waste minimization, safe chemistry, and transparent reporting.

Our Pillars

Responsible Materials

Prefer BCI/organic cotton, recycled polyester and traceable trims—moving towards higher recycled/organic share season by season.

Water Stewardship

Process optimization, dyeing efficiency and responsible discharge aligned with Department of Environment (DoE) guidance.

Clean Energy

Energy audits, higher FPY to cut rework energy, and progressive solar adoption across facilities.

Waste Minimization

Cutting/printing yield improvement, segregated waste and fabric recycling with vetted partners.

Safe Chemistry

Restricted Substances compliance, safer alternatives and batch records; aligned with brand MRSLs.

Transparency

Inline QA + final AQL 2.5, lot-wise tracking and clear documentation for audits and customer assurance.

2025 Targets

We set measurable goals and report annually. Highlights for FY 2024–25:

0Share of preferred fibers
0Process water per kg fabric
0Energy per sewn garment
0Waste segregated w/ licensed handlers

FAQ

Do you support buyer‑specific MRSL/RSL requirements?

Yes. We operate to buyer MRSL/RSLs and maintain batch records; third‑party testing is available upon request.

Can you trace materials to certified sources?

For GOTS/GRS and similar, we work with certified suppliers and maintain document trails (TC/SC) as required.

How do you track water and energy?

We use meter‑level tracking at dyeing/finishing and line‑level energy KPIs; results are aggregated for periodic reviews.

Do you publish an annual report?

We can share our annual sustainability update and selected KPIs with partners under NDA if needed.
